What we do, and how.
Most Austin kitchens we remodel were built for a different way of living: closed off from the living room, one person's worth of counter space, a range wedged wherever the plumbing happened to be. A kitchen remodel is the chance to fix the layout, not just the finishes — and the layout is where a kitchen either works for the next twenty years or does not.
Our designer draws the room, you pick every selection from real samples, and you see a 3D rendering of the finished kitchen before a wall comes down. Then you get a line-item bid, a week-by-week schedule and a project manager who owns the job from demolition to the final punch list.
What's in the contract
- Layout and design with a 3D rendering
- Custom or semi-custom cabinetry
- Quartz, quartzite and stone countertops
- Tile backsplash and under-cabinet lighting
- Electrical, lighting and plumbing relocation, permitted
- Wall removal and structural beams where the layout needs them
- Flooring tied into the rest of the house
- Appliance and fixture installation
- Demolition, haul-off and daily clean-up behind dust walls
What a kitchen remodel
costs in Austin.
Our published ranges, so you can plan before we ever meet. Your fixed price depends on scope and selections — and once it's in your contract, it's the price.
Refresh in the existing footprint
New cabinets, counters, backsplash, lighting and fixtures, with the plumbing and the walls staying where they are. The fastest route to a kitchen that looks and works new.
Open it up
Take out the wall to the living room, add a beam, and rebuild the kitchen around a real island with seating. Usually some plumbing and electrical moves with it.
Down to the studs, new layout
Everything moves: the range, the sink, the windows if they should. Custom cabinetry to the ceiling, panelled appliances, stone on every surface.

The reviews we
can't edit.
"We interviewed four remodelers for our kitchen. Home Remodel Pro was the only one who gave us a real line-item bid instead of a vague number. Finished two days early and the final price matched the contract exactly."
"They gutted both of our bathrooms while we lived in the house. Dust walls every day, floors covered, and our PM actually texted us updates. Painless."
"Added 480 square feet onto the back of our 1950s house. They handled the permits, the engineer, all of it. The new room looks original to the home."
What Austin homeowners
ask about a kitchen remodel.
Costs, timelines, permits and what happens when something unexpected shows up behind a wall — answered the way we answer them at the kitchen table.
How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Austin?
Our published Austin ranges are $45k–$70k for a practical remodel in the existing footprint, $70k–$110k for a mid-to-high remodel that opens up the layout, and $110k+ for a high-end kitchen taken down to the studs. Your number is fixed in writing before demolition, and it only moves if you ask for a change or we find something genuinely hidden behind a wall.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
Construction runs 6–10 weeks for most kitchens. Design, selections and permitting happen before demolition, so the calendar we hand you is the one we build to — and the old kitchen is not torn out until the new cabinets have a delivery date.
Can I stay in the house during a kitchen remodel?
Almost everyone does. We build a dust wall, protect the floors and set up a temporary kitchen with your fridge, microwave and a sink where we can. Plan on takeout for the week the counters are templated and installed.
Do I need a permit for a kitchen remodel in Austin?
If the work moves plumbing, adds circuits or removes a wall, yes — and we pull it from the City of Austin and manage the inspections as part of the contract. A cosmetic refresh that keeps everything in place usually does not need one, and we tell you which yours is before you sign.
Should I remodel the kitchen before I sell?
A dated kitchen is the first thing a buyer prices against you, but a full high-end remodel rarely returns its cost at sale. If selling is the goal we scope for it — a practical refresh, with a layout fix where one is cheap — and we will say so if a remodel is not the right money to spend.
Does the fixed price actually stay fixed?
Yes. Once selections are final and the contract is signed, the price only changes if you request a change or we uncover something genuinely hidden, like rot or failed wiring behind a wall. Any change is priced and approved in writing by you before we proceed.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We work with established home-improvement lending partners so you can spread the cost of a remodel into predictable monthly payments instead of paying everything up front. Your project consultant will walk you through current terms during your free estimate — asking costs nothing and does not affect your credit.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We carry general liability and workers compensation coverage, and all trade work is performed by licensed electricians, plumbers and HVAC technicians. We will send current certificates of insurance on request.
