What we do, and how.

Austin home prices make moving expensive, and the house you already own is often the right house with one room missing. An addition puts that room where the lot allows it, ties the roof, the foundation and the systems into what exists, and — done well — reads as original to the home rather than bolted onto it.

We handle the whole chain: architectural plans, structural engineering, the City of Austin permit and inspections, foundation, framing, roofing, HVAC, electrical and plumbing tie-ins, and the interior finish. One contract, one schedule, one number.

What's in the contract

  • Architectural plans and structural engineering
  • Zoning, setback and lot-coverage checks with the City of Austin
  • Permits pulled and every inspection managed
  • Foundation and slab work
  • Framing by our own carpenters
  • Roof tie-in and an exterior matched to the house
  • HVAC, electrical and plumbing extensions
  • Windows, doors, insulation and drywall
  • Interior finish to match the existing rooms

What a home addition
costs in Austin.

Our published ranges, so you can plan before we ever meet. Your fixed price depends on scope and selections — and once it's in your contract, it's the price.

Practical$120k–$200k

A bump-out or a single room

A larger kitchen, a bedroom, a home office — one room off the back or the side of the house, on its own slab.

Mid-to-high$200k–$320k

A primary suite or a family room

Bedroom, bath and closet, or a great room that opens to the yard, with the roofline reworked so it looks intentional.

High-end$320k+

A second story or several rooms

Engineering the existing structure to carry a floor above it, or adding several rooms at once — the biggest change a house can take short of rebuilding it.

"We interviewed four remodelers for our kitchen. Home Remodel Pro was the only one who gave us a real line-item bid instead of a vague number. Finished two days early and the final price matched the contract exactly."

"They gutted both of our bathrooms while we lived in the house. Dust walls every day, floors covered, and our PM actually texted us updates. Painless."

"Added 480 square feet onto the back of our 1950s house. They handled the permits, the engineer, all of it. The new room looks original to the home."

Home Additions questions

What Austin homeowners
ask about a home addition.

Costs, timelines, permits and what happens when something unexpected shows up behind a wall — answered the way we answer them at the kitchen table.

How much does a home addition cost in Austin?

Our published Austin ranges are $120k–$200k for a single-room bump-out, $200k–$320k for a primary suite or family room, and $320k+ for a second story or a multi-room addition. Your number is fixed in writing before demolition, and it only moves if you ask for a change or we find something genuinely hidden behind a wall.

How long does a home addition take?

Plans, engineering and permitting run first — often two to three months on their own — and construction runs about 4–6 months. We give you both calendars up front, and the second one is the one we build to.

Can I add on to my house?

Usually, but the lot decides: setbacks, lot coverage, impervious cover and any deed restrictions set the envelope. We check all of it with the City of Austin during design, before you have spent money on plans that cannot be built.

Will the addition match the rest of the house?

That is the whole craft. We match the roof pitch, the siding, the trim, the window proportions and the floor heights, and run the flooring through so there is no step down into the new part. Our own carpenters frame it, which is where matching either happens or does not.

Should I build an addition or an ADU?

If the space is for your own household, add on and keep it under one roof. If it might house a parent, a tenant or a home business, a detached unit with its own entrance is worth more and more flexible. We build both, and we will tell you which one your lot and your plans want.

Does the fixed price actually stay fixed?

Yes. Once selections are final and the contract is signed, the price only changes if you request a change or we uncover something genuinely hidden, like rot or failed wiring behind a wall. Any change is priced and approved in writing by you before we proceed.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We work with established home-improvement lending partners so you can spread the cost of a remodel into predictable monthly payments instead of paying everything up front. Your project consultant will walk you through current terms during your free estimate — asking costs nothing and does not affect your credit.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry general liability and workers compensation coverage, and all trade work is performed by licensed electricians, plumbers and HVAC technicians. We will send current certificates of insurance on request.

Ready to see your
home addition priced honestly?

No obligation, no pressure — a real scope, a real schedule, and a fixed price you can hold us to.
