Three questions, and this is where the band your project sits in appears.
A range is where you
start. Not what you pay.
Every project we build is sold as one fixed price in writing, and these three steps are how a band on this page becomes that number.
- 01
The published range
What projects like yours have actually cost us to build across Greater Austin. It is on this page because you should be able to rule us in or out before you spend an evening on a form.
- 02
The walkthrough
We measure, look at what is behind the walls where we can, and talk honestly about what your budget buys. Free, and with no obligation to book anything.
- 03
The fixed written bid
A line-item price you can hold us to. After that it only moves if you ask for a change or we find something genuinely hidden — priced and approved by you first, in writing.

What actually moves
a remodel price.
In the order it moves it — and the first two are the ones the calculator above asks you about.
How much of it moves
Finishes in the same footprint is the cheapest version of any project. The moment a wall, a drain or a gas line moves, you are paying for structure, permits and inspections as well as for tile.
The finish level
The same kitchen built three ways is three different numbers, and it is the one thing you control completely. The three columns in our table are those three ways.
What is behind the walls
Older houses hide knob-and-tube wiring, cast-iron drains and undersized headers. We budget for what we can see and put a hidden-condition clause in the contract for what nobody can — priced and approved by you before we carry on.
How long it takes
A longer build is more weeks of crew, more site protection and more supervision. It is why the timeline sits beside the money in our table rather than on another page.
What it is not
Our ranges include design, permits and inspections, because those are part of the contract rather than an extra. Furniture, appliances you buy yourself and landscaping are not.
What finish level are you planning? Practical · Mid-to-high · High-end — the three columns in the table above, and the one thing on this page you control completely.
What Austin homeowners
ask about the money.
Why the ranges are wide, why we do not price per square foot, and what happens to your fixed price when something turns up behind a wall.
How accurate is a remodel cost calculator?
Honestly: it can tell you which band you are in, and it cannot tell you your price. No calculator has seen your house. Ours places you in one of the published Austin ranges we actually build to and shows you what pushed you there — then a person walks the space and puts one fixed number in writing. Treat anything that returns an exact figure from four questions with suspicion.
What does a remodel cost per square foot in Austin?
We do not quote per square foot, because a kitchen is not priced by floor area — the money is in cabinetry, appliances, stone and how much plumbing and electrical moves. Two kitchens of the same size can differ by $60,000. Per-square-foot numbers are useful for new construction and misleading for remodeling.
Why are the ranges so wide?
Because the finish level and the amount of structural work genuinely move the number that much. A kitchen in the existing footprint at standard finishes lands near $45k; the same room taken to the studs with custom cabinetry and slab stone is the $110k+ column. The calculator exists to narrow which of those you are.
Do you charge for the estimate?
No. The in-home consult, the measurements and the written fixed-price bid cost nothing and carry no obligation. We would rather tell you honestly that your budget does not match your plans before either of us has spent money on it.
Does the fixed price actually stay fixed?
Yes. Once selections are final and the contract is signed, the price only changes if you request a change or we uncover something genuinely hidden, like rot or failed wiring behind a wall. Any change is priced and approved in writing by you before we proceed.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We work with established home-improvement lending partners so you can spread the cost of a remodel into predictable monthly payments instead of paying everything up front. Your project consultant will walk you through current terms during your free estimate — asking costs nothing and does not affect your credit.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We carry general liability and workers compensation coverage, and all trade work is performed by licensed electricians, plumbers and HVAC technicians. We will send current certificates of insurance on request.
Ready for the number
that actually counts?
No obligation, no pressure — a real scope, a real schedule, and a fixed price you can hold us to.
